The Ransom Canyon Fire Department in Ransom Canyon, Texas, USA would like to welcome you to our site.

The Ransom Canyon Fire Department is made up of dedicated firefighters/paramedics/EMT's and provides
emergency medical, fire and rescue services. We are also dedicated to fire prevention.

The Ransom Canyon Fire Department fleet consist of:

• 5 trucks.  
• 1 American La France pumper with 1000 gallon tank.  
• 1 FMC pumper with 500 gallon tank.  
• 1 E-ONE 1900 gallon tanker/pumper with port-a-tank    
and quick dump valve.
• 1 EMS first responder truck outfitted for ACLS.
• 1 heavy rescue truck.  

Heavy rescue truck consists of 2 gas powered generators, gas powered water pump.  Numerous back boards, stokes baskets, extra supply hose and extra SCBA tanks.

Ransom Canyon Fire Department does have a mutual aid agreement with the surrounding volunteer departments as well.  

All personnel carry pagers and radios in the event of a call and out of their own free will and personal time stand-by 24/7 for any emergency.

Underwater Search and Recovery

The Ransom Canyon Underwater Search and Recovery unit consists of two Advanced Certified divers with a specialty in Search and Recovery.

Both diver's are also Firefighters and certified EMT's.  The goal of the team is to provide FIRE/EMS with water rescue or recovery as well as evidence recovery for the Police Department if ever needed.
